Founded with a love for early childhood, Shine The Way is a place where children feel safe to be themselves, explore the world, and shine.
Caring for children was and is the passion of owner Melanie. When in Mitchell's Plain, she would notice how children in the early hours would travel with their parents to caregivers. Melanie would approach these parents and care for their children until their transport could collect them. Years later, she would extend the same to neighbors in the Plumstead area.
In 2006, she moved opposite St. Anne's and opened Shine The Way as an aftercare. Since then, Shine The Way had grown from what she intended to a daycare for babies and toddlers.
